Having an academic mentor as a Student Midwife is something that's really important because you can reach out to them no matter what. And you know, you can also have that kind of close relationship that if anything's wrong, then they're always there to help.

Simulation and immersive facilities

Our facilities provide a safe place to learn where you can put theory into practice before you work with real patients and service users. You'll have a go at using real-world equipment and cutting-edge simulated patients to practise both clinical and communication skills in realistic scenarios. What's more, we prepare you further by getting service users involved to add to the realism of the simulated environments.

Immersive Suites

Our immersive suites can simulate almost any environment from hospital to office and house to roadside. The suite allows 360 projection with realistic sounds from that environment.

Lifelike Living Space (Stafford)

The lifelike living space lets you practice your skills in a variety of non-clinical settings, including our configurable house environment.

Paramedic Training Ambulance

Paramedic students and other student clinicians who may have pre-hospital involvement, can hone their skills in our very own fully kitted training ambulance, allowing our students to practice realistic scenarios and to prepare for their placements.
