Welcome to your Early Childhood Studies course

Welcome to University of Staffordshire

We know you're already passionate about your subject, which is why we're excited you've chosen University of Staffordshire as the place to turn possibility into reality.

To give you an insight into what life as an Early Childhood Studies student is like, your course leaders have prepared introductions to the course and further activities.

Welcome to the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies with SEND here at Staffordshire University.

Starting University can be daunting, so we want to help you prepare in advance and know what to expect. We have put together this short to-do list and information sheet to help you prepare for your exciting new course at University.

To best prepare before your first day you are required to complete a number of tasks, here are some things you can do to help you.

If you have any questions prior to starting your course please contact your course leader, Amanda Tayler, email Amanda.tayler@staffs.ac.uk

First activity

When you join us, one of the first activities you will take part in is creating a short account of a current issue in Early Childhood Education and Care. Some examples might include The Early Years workforce, the concept of school readiness, outdoor learning, etc. Before you join us, we would like you to start researching and have knowledge of an issue.
