Our main city campus is in Stoke-on-Trent. We also have our Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Education, located in Stafford.
With a community of over 13,000 students and 1,600 staff, Staffordshire University acknowledges that it generates a significant amount of travel that impacts the local area. One of the most obvious and detrimental factors of staff and student travel is single-occupancy car journeys and the associated problem of road congestion.
Staffordshire University is located very close to Stoke-on-Trent's train station, allowing easy access to the West Midlands rail network.
There are also local bus services which can be used to travel to the university. You can use a journey planner to find the best route for travel to and from the university.
As a Staffordshire University student you are entitled to a Student Smart Ticket which allows you to travel on buses provided by different operators across North Staffordshire with just one ticket.

The completion of Phase 1 of our Electric Vehicle Charging campus transformation project means that our campus is now well-equipped to meet the increasing (and future) demand for EV Charging provisions among our staff and students.
The University has 30 double charging points run by Vend Electric across our campuses.
University EV charging points are available to Staffordshire University students and staff only, and operate on a Pay As You Go basis.

Staff are invited to benefit from a tax-free loan of bicycles and related safety and security equipment under the Government's Green Transport Plan initiative that's aimed at getting more people to travel to work on their bicycles. As a University Travel Plan initiative, we have linked with a partner, Cyclescheme. Cyclescheme offer tax-free loans for the hire of bicycles and related safety and security equipment with the option to purchase the bicycle at a Fair Market Value (FMV) price of the original value at the end of the loan period.
