Pre-1993 awards

Awarded before 1993? There are different processes to verify your award

The University is unable to provide award documents for pre-1993 study as these awards were delivered by Staffordshire Polytechnic or North Staffordshire Polytechnic.

Pre-1993 awards will fall into one of the following two categories depending on who you were awarded by:

Council for National Academic Awards

CNAA was the awarding body for Staffordshire Polytechnic and North Staffordshire Polytechnic courses including most degree and PGCE courses.

CNAA no longer exists but the Open University are now responsible for their records and can provide replacement certificates and award verification.

Edexcel/Pearson

Replacement certificates for pre-1993 BTEC awards (such as HND or HNC) can be provided from Edexcel/Pearson.

University of Staffordshire cannot provide transcripts, dates of attendance, or award verification for pre-1993 awards.
