Facilities and expertise in Psychology

Undergraduate

Welcome to our £30m Science Centre, a hive of exploration, discovery and eureka moments.

Home to our psychology students, the Science Centre contains specialist labs that delve into all areas of psychology. Here you'll practice and refine your practitioner skills, preparing you for a career when you graduate.

In our psychology labs, you’ll have access to all the latest kit for immersive learning. Using equipment such as eye tracking, heart rate monitoring and temperature-induced pain stimuli, you’ll test what you’ve learnt using real-world scenarios.

And that’s not all. Our emphasis on simulation-based learning puts us at the forefront for psychology teaching. Through a combination of equipment and software, we can realistically recreate environments and conditions that would not be safe or possible to create in real life. By immersing you in a controlled environment we give you the chance to practice your skills and test hypotheses safely.
