We know that deciding to study at university is one of the biggest decisions you will make and that is why we launched the Staffordshire University Cost of Living Scholarship for students from households with a lower income.

Adult Nursing Bursary

In order to support students who want to enter into the nursing profession, and address the shortage of adult nurses in the UK, we have introduced a bursary for all students who enrol onto our Nursing Practice (Adult) course in September 2024.

Returning to Education?

Our Step Up to Higher Education programme might be for you

Looking to return to education but are worried you don't have the right skills and qualifications? Our Step Up to Higher Education (HE) course is designed to help you figure out where you want to be and point you in the right direction to get there. This free 10-week course can fit around your work or other commitments to give you a taste of what it's like to study at university.  

You don't necessarily need formal qualifications to apply, and many who complete the course go on to foundation or degree-level programmes. The course can help you to get advice if you're looking for a career change or want to move up the job ladder, develop your academic writing, referencing, note-taking and critical thinking skills that you will need for a higher education course, and get support around Student Finance and application processes.
