What GEN offers your college

We offer a clear route into higher education for your students and provide support and development for your college lecturers.

The main benefit of GEN is a close relationship between the Staffordshire Games Institute and your college. Once you register, someone from our team will be in touch to see how we can help.

Connect and support

A direct line to the Staffordshire Games Institute. Ongoing contact between your course leads and our teaching teams builds a clear progression path for your students.

Masterclasses, taster days and college visits

We come to you with talks, demos and advice on your campus. We deliver masterclasses for your students, and hold hands-on taster days sampling our courses at the university.

Develop and grow

We offer CPD and training your teaching staff through our Games Training Centre and events where you can discover industry insights.

Classes

Launching in November 2026, GEN are delivering 23 classes covering a range of topics and software packages, from beginner to advanced levels. Register now to be informed when our classes are live and be among the first to book your place.

Upcoming events

Our annual GEN educator day brings FE games educators together at the University of Staffordshire to meet peers, hear from industry and help shape what we offer next.

Our ambition is to run the best in-person event for FE games educators in the UK, and make Staffordshire the place where that community meets.

Build the community

Educators meet each other, not just us. Peer and industry connection is what makes the day valuable.

Help shape our CPD

Tell us what you need next and how we can best support you.

Industry insight

Talks and thought leadership from us and our industry partners: our professional network, opened up to FE lecturers.

Tickets

CPD annual service plan members get one free ticket per registered seat. Non-CPD members can buy tickets to attend this event at £50 per person (excluding VAT).

FORGE is now GEN

GEN is the evolution of FORGE. If you have had a great relationship with us for many years, GEN will feel very familiar: the same people and relationships, with a clearer name and a formal CPD offer for your staff.
