We offer two options for accessing our training classes - a CPD annual service plan which gives full access to book onto all webinars for up to four staff, or a pay as you go option to select the individual classes you want per person.

CPD annual service plan

One agreement, once a year, for your department.

A full year of CPD for the lecturers teaching the next generation of games developers. Year one begins with the first class on 18 November 2026 and runs to October 2027. The number of software packages covered will expand as the service plan matures.

The CPD annual service plan replaces single-event purchasing with one approval a year. Staff then simply book onto whatever they need.

What’s included:

Live online classes

Every class in the programme is free for seat holders. That’s two online classes most months.

Recording archive

Class recordings to review at your own pace. The archive grows as each class is delivered and recorded.

Free attendance to GEN educator day

One free ticket per registered seat to our annual in-person event at University of Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent campus).

Pricing

Annual base registration

£200 (excluding VAT) per academic year 2026/2027. Institutional setup and four staff seats included.

Additional seats

£50 (excluding VAT) per lecturer, per year.

Pricing example

£300 (excluding VAT) a year for six lecturers. A college registering six members of staff pays the £200 base registration, which covers the first four, plus £50 for each of the two additional seats.

How to join the annual service plan

  1. 1. Register your college

Contact us and confirm your contact and the lecturers to be covered.

  2. 2. One agreement, once a year

You'll receive a single invoice against one purchase order.

  3. 3. Seats activated

Your staff will receive a link to bookable classes with details about when the class will be delivered along with access to the webinar recordings archive.

Professional development is a journey, not a business case

Colleges work under tight and tightening budgets, and most process a separate budget request for every CPD opportunity a lecturer attends. That friction delays approvals, adds admin, leaves CPD budgets unspent and lets teaching fall behind engine releases and studio pipelines. By choosing our annual service plan, this reduces the barrier to accessing our class material.

Individual CPD classes

Pay as you go for the specific classes you need.

CPD training is available through our Games Training Centre, with live online classes for further education lecturers throughout the year. Classes cover a wide range of subjects and software packages, and the range of software we cover will expand over time.

Whats included:

A live online webinar

Join the class live with the tutor.

Class recording

Review the class webinar afterwards at your own pace.

Pricing

Individual class

£45 (excluding VAT) per person, per class.

How to book a class

  1. Explore classes

Browse upcoming webinars on our training classes page.

  2. Review class details

Check the date and time your class will be delivered along with the level and webinar duration.

  3. Confirm booking

Confirm the number of people you'd like to book onto the class. You'll be directed to finalise the booking and payment online.

Are you looking to train several members of staff?

The CPD service plan may be more suitable. It covers your department with one agreement a year, and seat holders attend every class free.

Become a GEN member for free

General membership of GEN is free. Registering your college and your details means you are included in communications from GEN and someone from our team will be in touch to see how we can help.
