Sense of community

Living at the heart of our student community on campus, it's a great way to make new friends and get involved in student life. You can relax, socialise and find your own personal space. You’ll also have a scenic walk to lectures, with an attractive footbridge connecting the accommodation with our main Leek Road buildings. Our Res Life team will help you settle in – whether you just want a chat or some support and guidance, they are ready to listen.

Sustainability

Net-zero hub

Our Village Hub is at the centre of our efforts to become more sustainable as a university. Designed to be net-zero over its lifetime, the building has natural ventilation and uses low carbon and renewable sources such as solar panels and heat pumps.

Biodiversity and green spaces

You’ll be living in a green oasis in the city. Our Student Village is based our nature reserve and the River Trent. With a pond, woodland and wildflower meadow, the reserve is a peaceful setting for walks, cycle rides and running. Recent improvements have led to greater biodiversity, with plants, invertebrates, fish and birds. A new footbridge will also link the sports hall with the Student Village.
