Why choose university?

University is a really good choice for unlocking your potential and your future. By the age of 31, graduates can earn, on average, a third mor than non-graduates (LEO 2024), developing their careers in their chosen areas of interest.

Of course, university is much more than a gateway to your professional career, it's about you developing as a person, and creating networks of peers and lifelong friends. At University of Staffordshire, our graduates are rated among the most employable in the UK, which is why we've been ranked third in the UK for Career Prospects in the 2025 WhatUni Student Choice Awards.

So it's not just going to university, it's about joining the right one.

Making the most of your Open Day experience

Quiet programme

Our Open Days are really popular and so can be busy events. Some of our visitors may benefit from a more reflective time, so that's why we offer a quiet programme. This inclusive and supportive programme is designed for students who are impacted by sensory overload, have autism spectrum condition, hearing or visual impairments, and applicants who may struggle with communication or have anxiety.

Learn and explore with smaller groups. Come and join us at a ‘Why University of Staffordshire’ session available in the morning, alongside quieter events that are held in the afternoon.

Quiet programmes are available at our larger and busier Stoke-on-Trent campus, while the main events at our Stafford and London campuses tend to be smaller and more relaxed overall.
