It's vital that you enrol online before the academic year starts. This process only takes 15 minutes and can be completed through our e:Vision portal. Following the link below will take you to our enrolment hub where you can find the answers to any questions you may have.

Both new and returning students need to complete this step to continue their studies into the 2025 academic year.

Your timetable and start date

All students studying on campus at our Stoke-on-Trent campus, Stafford Centre of Health Innovation and University of Staffordshire London benefit from access to a personalised digital timetable which can be found by using the Beacon App.

Timetables will be available at the end of July onwards, subject to your enrolment invite.

Student Loan Tracker

One of the most frequently asked questions by new students, studying on campus, is 'When will I receive my student loan?'

We understand that this is important to you, and that the answer to the question relies on a few factors. So, to help you, we’ve created a tracker tool which will take you step by step through the conditions to be met, but you will still need to check your loan application has been approved by Student Finance.

The loan tracker tool, is available via your Beacon App once you are invited to enrol*

This should be used in conjunction with your Student Loan application with Student Finance. This is about the maintenance loan payment you will receive to help you with your living costs.
If you are an undergraduate student, you will need to apply for a loan every year.
If you are returning from a break in study, you will need to reapply for your loan.

Online academic skills workshops

The Academic Skills team offers a series of online workshops to prepare you for starting university. The workshops include improving academic skills, planning your work, using technology and finding information and referencing it.

Get digitally ready

Explore the digital tools you'll use throughout your university studies, such as Blackboard, Microsoft 365, and other key platforms that support you through University.

Staffordshire EDGE

Staffordshire EDGE is a sector leading events programme that offers you the opportunity to develop academic, digital, leadership, professional and career management skills.

Start at Staffs

You'll soon have access to the ‘Start at Staffs’ learning package which is designed to give you a head start in preparing for university. It isn’t compulsory, but we recommend you look through as it’s filled with lots of useful information, from connecting to Wi-Fi and applications you will be using, to preparing for your first assignment, and also includes information on support teams who can help you make the most of your university experience.

On Campus Venues

Whether you're looking to catch up with friends over coffee, or attend an exciting club night, our on campus venues have you covered. During Welcome Week, events take place across our on campus venues where you'll be able to meet our friendly student services teams, connect with new friends, attend club nights and much more.

Ember Lounge Venue

At the heart of the College Road campus is the Ember Lounge venue.

Open on weekdays, it’s the Union’s number one daytime and evening venue for a great range of food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments.

Ember Lounge hosts its massive Karaoke night every Tuesday and the SpeedQuizzing every other Thursday night.

LRV

LRV is your events hub on campus, home to a variety of club nights, including the Welcome Party!

LRV is situated on Leek Road campus, it's just a stone's throw from all of the Halls of Residence.

Dudley’s, Stafford campus

Dudley’s Café offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with expertly crafted artisan coffee and a variety of refreshing chilled drinks like frappes and smoothies.

Our deli-bar features fresh sandwiches, tempting pastries, and a wide selection of cakes, including seasonal specials. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, enjoying lunch, or indulging in something sweet, we have something to satisfy every craving.
