University name change and award documentation statement

On 23 September 2024, the University name changed to become University of Staffordshire.

If you need evidence related to this in respect of certificates, transcripts and other award confirmation documents, you can download a copy of the University name change and award documentation statement (PDF).

Academic transcript verification

Sharing your PDF copy of an academic transcript with a third party on your behalf, to confirm that this matches our records.

Please note: This service is only available to graduates that were not issued a HEAR upon completion of their award. Graduates that were issued a HEAR can securely share this with third parties directly, as outlined in our HEAR FAQs.

A formal letter confirming an award made by University of Staffordshire, issued as a PDF electronic document via email.

Replacement paper certificate

Replacement Paper Certificate Physical copy of an award certificate on current format paper, dispatched to your preferred address. For more details, please visit Certificates.

Please note: Delivery of replacement certificates is chargeable, and orders cannot be processed unless delivery has also been purchased - see our delivery times and prices.

Paper transcript

Physical copy of an academic transcript on our current format paper, dispatched to your preferred address. For more details, please visit Transcripts.

DOATAP (Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center) award verification package

A digital package, issued electronically via email only, to be used in conjunction with HEAR (where applicable) for recognition of your academic qualification in Greece.

A digital transfer of your transcript and certificate to World Education Service (WES).

Whether you are waiting for your original certificate to arrive or have ordered award documentation from our store, please find our advised delivery times below.

All first-issue certificates will be posted free of charge via Royal Mail and Royal Mail International Economy. Full details on when to expect to receive your certificate can be found on our Certificates page.

Foundation year documentation

The University does not provide award documents for the completion of your foundation year. However, you can download a confirmation of enrolment letter from e:Vision if you need formal documentation as proof of your enrolment.

We encourage students to save a copy of their results profile from e:Vision whilst they still have access. Keep this safe because we cannot provide replacement result profiles.

I didn’t receive a transcript with my certificate

The University no longer issues paper transcripts, but instead offers a digital transcript HEAR. Visit our HEAR page to find out if you are eligible.

I was never awarded can I get any documentation

Certificates, transcripts and Award Confirmation letters can only be issued where an award has been achieved. Some students may have been issued a formative HEAR depending on their year of enrolment. Visit our HEAR page to find out if you are eligible.

I’ve received my certificate but it’s damaged

If your certificate has been damaged in transit, we can issue a replacement. You will need to share a picture of the damaged certificate and let us know via awards@staffs.ac.uk.

Will you let me know when my certificate has been posted?

We don’t contact individuals to let them know when the first-issue of a certificate has been posted. It is really important that you make sure your details are up to date throughout the year. If you change your address after you’ve been awarded, we cannot guarantee that your certificate will have been dispatched to your new address.

You should expect to receive your certificate in 8 weeks of receiving formal confirmation of your award to your home address, or upon collection at your graduation ceremony. If you are expecting to attend graduation within 8 weeks of being notified of your award, your certificate should be available to collect on the day of your ceremony, after your ceremony has finished.

If your certificate remains uncollected from graduation, it will be posted to you within 1 week of the conclusion of all ceremonies.

Can you share my documents with DOATAP?

If you are living and working in Greece, you may have been asked by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (DOATAP) to provide evidence of your university qualifications. DOATAP often requires these documents to be shared with them directly from the awarding institution.

We offer a standard DOATAP package that includes:

Verified Certificate (PDF)
Verified transcript (PDF) (n.b. If you are in receipt of your HEAR a PDF transcript will NOT be shared instead, please share your HEAR electronically with DOATAP. See our HEAR page for information on how to share your HEAR.
A Certificate of Location of Studies letter (PDF) detailing “[NAME]’s studies from ..... to .... took place and were completed at XXXX campus of University of Staffordshire in the [City], England, United Kingdom and at no other campus’.

To request this service please share your:

Photo ID (e.g. passport) - Find out what is an acceptable ID?

The University will check your documents against our records. Once the team have completed our checks you will be given a validation code and unique customer ID number.

It may take longer to issue a code for historic and overseas partner awards.

You can then head to the online store, add DOATAP to your basket and proceed to checkout. When prompted please enter the codes provided.

Once your payment is complete you will receive an email receipt. Upon completion of your order your documents will be shared; you will be copied into the email verification to DOATAP.

Note: we will only share documents issued by University of Staffordshire. If you have additional documents issued by another institution you will need to contact the institution directly to request your documents, be shared.
