At Staffordshire University, we offer a DMI certified Digital Marketing Professional Diploma, suitable for people with or without marketing experience. Whether you’re a marketing executive, manager, senior manager or IT manager business owner, this course will help you understand and develop future digital marketing strategies.
The Certified Digital Marketing Professional provides you with an in-depth and comprehensive introduction to the core essentials of digital marketing. It is validated by the Digital Marketing Institute and the content is designed by experts from all over the world.
The programme has been designed to meet the needs of busy professionals who need to fit study around work and other commitments. You will attend Staffordshire University for three days over the duration of the six-month course and the rest of your studies will be completed online. We support you with an online tutor throughout who advises you and guides you every step of the way.
On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: DMI Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing
During the course you will cover modules in SEO, PPC and email marketing, Digital display advertising, social media marketing, mobile marketing, Google Analytics, AdWords, and general digital marketing strategy and planning.
At the end of the course you will complete a three-hour, computer-based examination and upon completion you will be certified by the Digital Marketing Institute.

As a distance learning student, you’ll be expected to study independently. Support is available when you need it. You can contact your tutor by phone, email or in person.
Our teaching is supported through our Virtual Learning Environment called Blackboard. This means you can access a range of materials to support your studies wherever you are. This includes discussion forums where you can debate subjects with your tutors and fellow students.
There are two types of assessments: practice (also called formative) or formal (also called summative).

We know that it’s important for you to be able to gauge your progress. So, your tutor will give you feedback on any practice assessments you do or through a weekly discussion board.
We usually give you feedback on formal assessments within 20 working days, but the format will vary for each module.

Providing you are studying towards a full Masters qualification you may be able to apply for a postgraduate loan of up to £10,609 to help with tuition fees, maintenance and other associated costs.
