Studying Nursing Practice (Child)

Introducing your course leader, Rebecca Boden

I am a former University of Staffordshire graduate and have over twenty years' experience as a children’s nurse working in areas such as general paediatric wards and high dependency care before working as a specialist support nurse in children’s cancer care.

More recently I have also had experience in working as a clinical educator for a busy children’s department. I am passionate about ensuring high standards of care through the delivery of evidence based practice and keeping the child and family at the centre of everything we do as children’s nurses.

In addition to my role at the University, I am also a paediatric immediate life support instructor. I love supporting student nurses, watching them grow in confidence and competence during their nursing degree programmes and helping them to achieve their goals of becoming a registered children’s nurse.
