As Course Leader for Accounting and Finance, I bring over eighteen years of combined academic, professional, and leadership experience to support your learning journey. I combine deep expertise in financial accounting, audit, taxation, management accounting, and corporate finance with real-world insights from my career as a Chartered Accountant, working across public and private sectors in budget management, financial advisory, auditing, forensic investigations, and tax planning.

I am passionate about bridging theory and practice, creating engaging, research-informed learning experiences, and fostering global academic partnerships. My mission is to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s dynamic financial world.

Yes, you are strongly encouraged to undertake work placements, particularly with accounting firms or in finance roles. There is an option for a full placement year and opportunities to study abroad at partner universities in Vietnam or Sri Lanka.

The course includes a range of modules such as Financial Management, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Personal Taxation, Advanced Management Accounting, Fintech and Digitalisation, Corporate Finance, and Auditing and Assurance. In the final year, you will complete an in-depth term paper on a topic of their choice.
