Meet your Course Leader

Muhammad Fahad

Fahad would like to welcome you to our BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering course. He is the course leader with extensive experience of manufacturing and process engineering.  His research focuses on additive manufacturing, materials engineering and manufacturing processes.  He has over thirty research publications including three book chapters and has also successfully supervised two PhD projects.

He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of Institute of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE).  He has significant experience in designing academic courses and related modules in accordance with the standards of relevant international quality assurance and accreditation bodies.

In addition to his academic experience, he has been a consultant on various industrial projects and successfully lead projects related to productivity improvement and lean manufacturing implementation in a variety of industries including automotive, textile, pharmaceutical, home appliance and food manufacturing.
