Forensic Analysis Workshop

Outline

Forensic Investigators and Forensic Scientists in England and Wales will be involved in the examination of crime scenes and the analysis of evidence relating to a wide variety of offences, from volume crimes (such as burglary) to Serious & Organised crimes (such as kidnapping and murder).

This masterclass will enable students to gain experience analysing evidence relating to different types of offences, such as murder, drug trafficking and serious assault cases. Specific analysis methods can be requested in advance, to ensure learners gain maximum benefit from the masterclass.

During the Forensic Analysis workshop, students will be provided with evidence recovered from a specific crime scene. This evidence may be biological, chemical, physical or digital in nature, and the students will learn the techniques used to analyse these evidence types. They will consider the evidential value of their results in relation to the specific case circumstances.
