The people who govern and manage the University.
Hannah grew up in Staffordshire and studied English and Sociology at Keele University. Following her undergraduate studies, Hannah commenced her career in Human Resources within the facilities management sector, working for Reliance Integrated Services Ltd.
Hannah then moved on to work in the NHS for a period of seven years, undertaking roles at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Hannah worked at Stafford Hospital during the Francis Inquiry, implementing the recommendations across health care leadership and culture change to enable compassionate care. During this time Hannah gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
In order to expand her experience of public sector organisations, Hannah took up to the role of HR Business Partner at Staffordshire University in 2015.
Hannah is a strong advocate for compassionate and values-based leadership, developed as a result of her time at Stafford Hospital. She believes that leaders should take the time to consider the impact of organisational decisions on the workforce and the culture of an organisation, as well as the importance of working within a shared set of values that reflect an organisation’s purpose and commitment.
Outside of work, Hannah is married with twin daughters and has recently commenced training to become a level 2 fitness instructor.
