A Staffordshire University alumnus, in 2019 Tony Evans left his role at software giants SAP, where as Senior Vice President of Leonardo & Analytics he was responsible for driving revenue, business transformation and operational improvement, to take up a position as Head of Financial Services (UK & Ireland) at Amazon. Prior to SAP, Tony had a successful track record in driving Business Process Reengineering and change management for global organisations, including PepsiCo, Lucent Technologies and IXNet. Tony has also held senior leadership positions within the USA and UK, across Oracle, BlackBerry and SAP, where he has led organisation of sales, technical and marketing professionals, driving revenue growth through partnership with customers.
Tony graduated from Staffordshire University with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a Diploma in Marketing from CIM. He also has an MBA in Change Management from the University of Brighton and is a qualified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute, an organisation he sat on the board of in NYC and represented in the Global Project Management Forum. Tony is particularly keen to help the University work to improve the aspirations of Stoke-on-Trent’s people by helping them understand their skillsets and to realise their potential.
