Get involved

There's plenty of ways to make friends and meet new people on campus. From student politics to student radio, cricket to creative writing, there truly is something for everyone at Staffordshire University. Our Woodlands Day Nursery and Forest School puts sustainability and the natural world at the heart of children’s learning.

Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre

If you choose to live in our accommodation, access to the Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre is completely free. With cardiovascular, resistance, strength and conditioning equipment alongside a 'Spin Zone', football pitches and sports halls, there's something for everyone.

Art Shop

Our Art Shop is stocked with an extensive range of goods offering professional quality creative materials at affordable prices, and specialist staff who work with academics and technical staff to advise students on the best materials.

Union shops

There are two shops on-campus, both ran by the Students' Union, ensuring that the best prices are passed down to you. A smaller convenience store on Leek Road will help keep you stocked up with essentials, while the College Road store is a great place to pick up lunch-on-the-go or practice sustainability with the weigh and pay offerings.

Nature Reserve

Owned and managed by the University, the Reserve is bordered to the north by the River Trent and to the South by an area of grassland used for teaching and research.

Café and bar at the heart of the College Road site, serving up the ultimate burger, karaoke and quizzes.

Leek Road Venue (LRV) and Verve

Based on our Leek Road campus, LRV and Verve are home to fresh dining, legendary freakshakes and our club nights.

Squeezebox

Healthy smoothies, hearty oatcakes and the best coffee around can be found in Squeezebox on College Road campus.

Pavilion Burrito and Wrap Bar

Pavilion Burrito and Wrap bar is a Mexican style restaurant that offers a Breakfast and Lunch menus throughout the week.

Dudley’s Café

Based at our Stafford campus, Dudley's serves everything from bacon baps and Grumpy Mule coffee to get you started in the morning, to ice cold drinks and world food to keep you going.

Cafe Cadman

A contemporary “lounge style” café located in the entrance to the library serving COSTA coffee; with a range of fantastic impulse cakes and home baked snacks.

Catalyst Kitchen

Serving artisan sandwiches, salads, smoothies and shakes, as well as our craft coffee and traditional favourites.

Catalyst Bistro

The Bistro offers a dining experience with an option to book tables or the space for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Catalyst Coffee Shop

Serving fresh craft coffee, hot and cold sandwiches and paninis plus cold beverages and retail items, conveniently located near to the Catalyst Library.

Coffee Lab

Coffee Lab offers a full Costa Coffee range of hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and hot food snacks such as toasties, pies, and paninis.

With everything from beautiful green spaces, shopping centres and restaurants to theme parks and a thriving nightlife, Staffordshire has so much to offer.

Stoke-on-Trent is a diverse, lively city, with plenty of places to relax and have fun, while Stafford is a bustling town with great shops, bars and restaurants.Within walking distance of our campus you will find relaxing open spaces, restaurants and bars, plus great transport links. We're home to skate parks, a ski centre, theatres, live music venues, two football clubs, water parks and much more!

Those looking to enjoy the great outdoors will love the nearby Area of Natural Beauty, Cannock Chase and the Peak District National Park, while thrill seekers can take advantage of Alton Towers theme park in the east of the county.
